Rainy Dabaw: A 3-day itinerary

When Cebu Pacific had their seat sale, we grabbed the opportunity  to book and visit the most disciplined city in the Philippines, where else but Davao City. It was our family's first time in Mindanao and tough it was raining, our spirits weren't dampened. I tried to squeeze all the must-visit and must-do but alas, due to the rain and time constraints we weren't able to do all. It was so bitin! But still we had fun and memories (our favorite Tito was there to guide us). Check-out our trip for 3 days and 3 nights.

DAY 1: FRIDAY
Weather was fair, the skies were gray but the sun is peeping through. It was our first time after how many years to see once again our favorite Tito! Spirits were up and everyone was excited.

10:25 am -  Arrival at Davao International Airport.
11:00 am -  picked-up by ABC Van Rental (highly recommended!)
11:30am - 12nn -   check-in at Casa Leticia Business Inn @ Ecoland
12nn - 1pm - lunch @ Penong's Manokan, Matina
1pm-330pm - Eden Park, Toril
430pm-530pm - Philippine Eagle Center
7-8pm - Dinner

DAY 2: SATURDAY
This day involved a lot of walking, walking, and walking! Good thing that it didn't rain.


8am-12nn - City Tour: Davao City Hall, Rizal Park, San Pedro Cathedral, Museo Dabawenyo, Davao Museum (@ Insular Village), T'boli Weaving (@ Davao Marina)
12nn-1pm - Lunch @ Blue Carabao (new location near Magsaysay Park)
1pm-2pm - Rest @ SM Lanang Premiere; Durian Coffee and Durian de Leche @ Blugre Coffee
3pm-5pm - Davao Crocodile Park
6pm-8pm - Dinner @ Taklobo, Jack's Ridge (mini reunion!)
8pm-830pm - Buy Durian candy @ Apo ni Lola, San Miguel Matina (Lola Abon's was just some doors away on the same street)



DAY 3: SUNDAY
6am-8am - travel to Kaputian Beach Mainland Samal via Sasa-Babak wharf
8am-2pm - Island tour with Red Parrot Inn's pumpboat: Coral Garden, Starfish, Angel's Cove, Taklobo Sanctuary, Pearl Farm
4pm-5pm - Monfort Bat Cave
6pm-7pm - Madrazo Fruit Stand (to buy Davao's famous juicy Pomelo)
7pm-8pm - dinner @ Banok's beside People's Park


It was exhausting to squeeze in all must-see places in just a limited time, but it was all worth it. We get to have a reunion with our cousins and get to meet new members of the family, and also we get to add new experiences in our existence. :)
