PLAYA LAIYA BATANGAS

Thanks to friends, I got a chance to experience Laiya in San Juan Batangas. For years, Laiya has given tourists and locals alike the chance to enjoy sun and surf. on its creamy white sands with Mt. Daguldol (San Juan's highest peak)as the backdrop. Many have said this slice of paradise is popular, but when I searched the web for reviews and information, there were so few. Only a handful of resorts in Laiya have reached mainstream which are offering prime accommodations and amenities.

Playa Laiya beach

We enjoyed Laiya in Playa Laiya's Clubhouse. Playa Laiya is a luxurious beachfront development (c/o Landco Pacific Corp) which envisions to create the "perfect beachside and leisure destination". Developments and improvements are still on-going, and lots are still vacant (but are selling like hotcakes!)

Clubhouse and the infinity pool

The use of the clubhouse is exclusive only for future residents of Playa, though non-residents could use the amenities through invitations of residents (with entrance fee of Php 150-200).

Playa Laiya Clubhouse

Clubhouse amenities includes the pools (infinity lap pool, kiddie pools, and jacuzzi), restaurant, shower rooms with hot water (i like!), and of course the beach (this I did not fully enjoy due to slightly bad weather).

Playa Laiya Cabanas

Though dubbed as to be the next Boracay (but so many have claimed this), the coarse sand and slightly treacherous waters of Laiya beach could not compare to that of Boracay's powdery white sand and the calmer waters.

Luxurious comfort rooms and shower rooms

Overall, I was awed by the beauty and luxury of Playa Laiya. If only I have the resources to buy lots in this tranquil place so I could have my own piece of paradise (wishful thinking -_^).

HOW TO GET THERE

Laiya, San Juan Batangas is just a 2.5-hour drive from Manila or approximately 1 hour from Lipa City Batangas or San Pablo City, Laguna. To get directions how to go to Playa Laiya, click here. For commuters, you can take Lipa-bound buses from Buendia/Cubao/Alabang/Turbina and drop-off in Lipa City. From Lipa you could take jeepneys bound to San Juan, Batangas and get off at San Juan City Hall. From there you could take tricycles to take you to Laiya.
